Education/Experience: 1. High school graduate Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses: 1. All candidates must be current on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry or be an LPN student or a Jr. level nursing student, which means completion of first quarter clinicals with an accredited RN or LPN program. 2. Currently validated CPR skills preferred. Additional Information Current CNA required. Safe, patient-centered care is the highest priority in the 1Observation department. Candidate must be dedicated to providing compassionate care to the patients we serve. Candidate should enjoy fast paced work environment and possess excellent critical thinking, multitasking and prioritization skills. Candidate must have a clean work record with no "written warnings" within the last 6 months. 1Obs a 16-bed Observation Unit that provides care for a wide variety of medical, surgical and telemetry patients. The Observation Unit is a rapid turnover unit, with an average length of stay of 9-13 hours. The focus is often on education and discharge planning. Observation Unit patients include Observation status patients, outpatient procedures, wake up/extended recovery surgical patients, post-op/post procedure outpatients, as well as infusion/transfusion patients and overflow inpatients are all cared for in the Observation Unit.
