Under indirect supervision, provides and coordinates health care and professional nursing services for patients and their families. Collaborates with other health care providers as needed. The Registered Nurse uses evidence based knowledge and practices within the nursing process supported by the theoretical framework of Human Caring and along the development continuum of novice to expert.
1.Education - BS in Nursing preferred.
2.Experience (minimum) ASPN III: 2 years’ experience as a Highland RN or 3 years RN experience from another healthcare provider
3.License/Certification Required –Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse. Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers or American Red Cross CPR/AED for professional Rescuers and Healthcare providers) upon hire . When CPR Renewal due, American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers only certification accepted.
4.Skills (to include equipment, software, etc.): Basic knowledge of a PC including internet and email use
