POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE & CODE: Coordinator/Preceptor Ambulatory Nursing 61106 DEPARTMENT: Ambulatory Services REPORTS TO: Manager, Ambulatory Services - Clinic FLSA STATUS: Exempt POSITION SUMMARY: Participates in the supervision and coordination of all aspects of nursing care and clinical operations within the Ambulatory Department. Oversee, coordinate and assist in implementing quality assurance for direct patient care and clinical follow-up. Maintain flow of patient care in all clinical settings. Supports department leadership team by demonstrating effective leadership communication and conflict resolution skills. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. 2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date. EXPERIENCE: 1. Two years experience as a Registered Nurse. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. EXPERIENCE: 1. One year management/supervisory experience preferred. Ensures staffing, delegate assignments, updates clinical support staff on new clinical and information technology policies/procedures and ensure implementation, monitors effectiveness for clinical support staff in clinics. Develops and distributes daily work assignments and monthly schedules. 3. Ensure equipment is in good service and operated safely and properly by staff. 4. Assists in the development and implementation of department specific staff educational activities within the scope of practice Position is frequently exposed to blood and bodily fluids; possible exposure to harmful toxins. There is regular exposure to communicable disease.
