Nursing Assistant 2
Are you a Nursing Student in a Baccalaureate or Masters Nursing program passionate about gaining clinical experience? If so, you may be the right candidate for our Nursing Assistant 2 position !
Position Qualifications Include:
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Baccalaureate or Masters entry level school of nursing with passing grades in all courses required
Completion of fundamental nursing course which includes basic med/surg clinical nursing skills required
Current CPR certification required
Must be able to commitment at least 1 year to the unit strongly preferred
Candidates graduating in 2019 strongly preferred
Completion of Med/Surg rotation preferred
Units are seeking candidates with the ability to work rotating shifts throughout the year, one weekend shift every 2 weeks (ANY shift), summer hours and holiday breaks
PLEASE PREPARE TO BRING CPR CARD, CURRENT FACULTY RECOMMENDATION AND COPY OF GRADES TO INTERVIEW
Work requires the ability to walk throughout the Medical Center and to be standing or walking most of the designated shift.
Work requires lifting or carrying objects 35-40lbs. and lifting and positioning patients, some of whom may exceed 300 lbs.
Physically heavy load; focus on turns and personal care. Walking Patients, vital signs, feeding patients, fall prevention, occasional 1:1 sitter, emptying drains, other duties as assigned
4 hour, 8 hour, 12 hour shifts
