RN CLINICAL NURSE II (PER DIEM) - CARDIOTHORACIC STEP DOWN & ACUTE CARE-PER00IL4
Registered Nurse (Per Diem) needed forCardiothoracic Stepdown Unit(CTSU), a 13 bed intermediate critical care unit responsible for the care of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients.
Nurses in this dynamic clinical area are adept at caring for patients who have undergone major cardiac, thoracic or vascular surgery, heart/lung transplantation and procedures requiring postoperative telemetry and/or respiratory monitoring. They also manage patients with ventricular assist devices, including those used for destination therapy and bridge to transplant. Nurses gain valuable experience managing intrapleural drainage devices, interpreting cardiac rhythms and monitoring cardiac drips.
Unit objectives are to exceed patient satisfaction and quality benchmarks in an environment conducive to learning and professional development. Per Diem nurses are encouraged to be part of the team’s quality efforts by providing input for improvement, as appropriate.
We are recruiting for a detailed-oriented RN with a proactive work ethic and strong, effective communication skills across the entire inter-professional team. Related clinical experience and ACLS certification required for per diem.
This is a per diem / temporary position requiring a minimum of 24 hours worked each month, schedule is flexible based on RN and unit needs.
Requires graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing and one year of nursing experience. Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing. Current certification in Healthcare Provider BLS/ CPR required.
