Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensiveprovider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for a PRN Registered Nursein Boulder. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Mixes and administers chemotherapy, hydration and othermedications under the direction and supervision of a physician. -Administersall medications/blood products using correct medication/blood product,dosage/amount, route, time and technique. Displays appropriate technicalskills for the administration of chemotherapy, medications and bloodproducts, to include, but not limited to: venipuncture, central lineaccess and infusion devices. -Programs portable infusion pumps for continuousdrug delivery and provides instruction to the patient and/or caregiver inthe use of the pump at home. Documents nursing assessments, patient teachingand fluid and medication administration in the patient chart. Communicates allpertinent information and any interventions to the physician. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursingeducation, BSN preferred. Minimum two years nursing experience required,oncology experience preferred. All candidates are required to pass a drug screening and backgroundcheck prior to hire.
