Perinatal Nurse/Coordinator - Ambulatory Ob/Gyn
This role is a Perinatal Nurse and back-up Nurse Coordinator for the Ambulatory Ob/Gyn practice.
The perinatal nurse will conduct nurse visits and billing, see new OB patients in the practice. Complete risk assessments and put patients in touch with resources in the community and/or social worker services. Counsel mothers and their families about caring for newborns.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient. Works in partnership with other staff members and physicians to proactively identify and provide for patient needs in accordance with LBH customer service standards and expectations along with JCAHO standards and expectations.
Requirements: Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field; 1-3 years; Microsoft Office Suite; Basic computer skills; Cerner; Synquest; Standard Office Equipment; Nursing Process skills based on MD Nurse Practice Act; Critical thinking skills; Maryland Registered Nurse License; American Heart Association CPR Card.
