Extraordinary ICUsThe Intensive Care Units (ICU) at Northside Hospital offer state-of-the-art technology for the care of the critically ill. Our mission is to partner with the patient and family to provide innovative, high quality carethat benefits the patient as we assist their return to the community as a healthy adult.Comprehensive critical care services include, but are not limited to:- Medical/Surgical- Neurologic/Neurosurgical- Medical/Interventional Cardiac- Obstetrics/Gyn- Bone Marrow Transplant- OncologyOur ICU team provides extraordinary care at a difficult time, working to ensure optimum delivery of services and quick recovery. Utilizes the nursing process to deliver direct patient care to an assigned group of patients within a specific unit in accordance with the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the appropriate division. Works under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse.
REQUIRED: 1. Graduate of an approved school of nursing who has not yet received a passing score on the state board licensing exam, OR a. A current student who has successfully completed his/her junior year in an approved BSN nursing program OR b. A current student who is in his/her final semester of an approved ADN nursing program 2. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other hospital personnel, and promote collaboration among disciplines in coordinating patient care. 3. Certified in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). PREFERRED: Previous experience in patient care areas.
