Full Time / Part Time: Full Time Benefits FTE: 0.50 The Certified Nursing Assistant/Health Unit Coordinator on the Observation Unit works under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Observation Unit provides outpatient care to patients with short term medical needs. The individual will report directly to the Patient Care Manager of the department and work collaboratively and in partnership with the interdisciplinary team to provide direct patient care in activities of daily living. To be successful on this outpatient hospital unit, a passion for caring for short stay patients is a must. The individual must have excellent communication and organizational skills, have a commitment to patient service and be a strong team player. The candidate must display a positive and upbeat attitude about themselves, work and team. Supports the healthcare team by answering phone, entering unit charges, patient assignments, ordering supplies. Key Boarding, computer skills required. Strong customer service skills essential. Performs the duties of a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the State of Wisconsin certification process, WMH policies as well as Nursing Department Policies, in order to maintain clinical excellence, practice professionally, and comply with established policies and standards.
