*Unit Description: *The 8th Floor Medical Oncology unit has a total of 36 private rooms with an average of RN-patient care ratio of 5:1. The staff's family-centered approach to care recognizes the impact of a cancer diagnosis on patients and family members alike. The medical oncology unit is designed to meet the medical and emotional needs of patients and their loved ones. The certified oncology nurses are specially trained to care for cancer patients and their families.
*Our Ideal Candidate... *The ideal Registered Nurse candidate for this department will be positive, passionate, and professional. He/she will be an effective team player and will be committed to delivering the highest quality of patient care. This candidate will have a minimum 1 year experience on a medical oncology unit and be chemo certified within 1 year of hire date. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of the patient's disease process and able to provide emotional and physical support to the patient.
*Minimum Qualifications: *
- Active Florida Registered Nurse Licensure
- Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of Hospital RN experience
- Previous acute care Medical Oncology experience is strongly preferred
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
