Nexus Nurse (RN) - WC in United States

Responsibilities:

This on-call, PRN- RN position is responsible for the continued health maintenance and management of each client in the programs and units assigned in order to ensure that all medical and psychological needs are appropriately met. This position will assist with admissions, medication management and immunizations at our Residential Treatment and Children's Diagnostic Centers.Collaborate with members of the treatment team to develop Individual Treatment Plans. Coordinate staff training in CPR, First Aid, medication administration and infection control. Administer bi-annual TB tests and provide Hepatitis and flu vaccines for staff, if applicable. Implement, monitor and coordinate the administration of medications. Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required. Understand and support the Nexus philosophy and treatment modalities. Ensure confidentiality across the board.

Must be available work to full shifts/schedules: 7:00a – 3:30p, 3:00p – 11:30p, 11:00p – 7:30a; includes weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must be aGraduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Will possess avalid Registered Nurse licensein the state of Maryland; BSN preferred. Will have aminimum of 1 year related experience; preferably in a residential setting; experiencewith emotionally disturbed children and adolescents is a plus.Current First Aid/CPR/CPI/Infection Control certification. Valid driver’s license and a driving record that satisfies regulating agency and corporate policy. Will demonstrate excellence in customer service, communication and team work and the ability to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced, structured, quality focused environment.
