This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be to coordinate and supervise patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other assisting personnel. Education/Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses: 1. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. 2. Valid Minnesota Drivers License or photo identification 3. Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License 4. Currently validated CPR skills. 5. This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, discrimination and harassment laws). Additional Information Position is primarily responsible for providing infusion therapy, education of patients/families and triaging urgent symptom management within Park Nicollet Oncology Infusion at the Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center. RN must have excellent assessment and teaching skills. Candidate must have basic computer skills and ability to learn on line documentation. Position requires current MN RN licensure. Requires demonstrated interpersonal communication skills. IV technical skills and proficiency including peripheral IV insertion, central lines access, and central line care is required. RN must have 2 years of recent Oncology experience, chemotherapy administration and certification (2 day ONS chemo/biotherapy course). Expectation is to obtain certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse in 1 - 2 years.
