Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse works to provide health and wellness assessment, advice, treatment of ill and injured employees as well as follow-up care, education and referrals as appropriate and consistent with patient needs and patient preference. The RN will work at both MassMutual campus locations in Springfield and Enfield. Travel and cross coverage between locations will be required. Responsibilities may include;

  • Assess employee medical issues and determine if problems warrant self- care, EHS clinician care, or referral for emergency care.

  • Provide appropriate advice and treatment with over-the-counter (“OTC”) medications, instructions and pertinent follow-up care

  • Respond to emergencies on site as appropriate to provide treatment, triage or refer to emergency care or primary care provider.

  • Promotes MassMutual's wellness programs and resources; knowledgeable about the employer's health plan, vendors and available resources

  • Provides Health and Wellness through Health fairs, outreach and facilitating educational group sessions

What you will Need:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in either MA or CT. Must obtain and maintain a license in both MA and CT within 30 days of hire.

  • A minimum of three (3) years of related nursing experience which may include employee health, occupational health, primary care or urgent care.

  • Must demonstrate of broad knowledge, skills and experience with acute and chronic medical conditions to appropriately assess and triage an employee to appropriate medical care.

  • Ability to assess employee medical issues and determine if problems warrant self- care, EHS clinician care, or referral for emergency care.

  • Skills include; administering injections, medical triage, EKGs, Phlebotomy

  • Must demonstrate a genuine interest in health and wellness

  • Ideal candidate will be professional, customer focused and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Per diem - Flexibility to work in both locations as needed , Department hours are Monday-Friday
