Missouri Employer Nurse Aide in SAINT LOUIS, Missouri
NAT position includes, but is not limited to the following:
Deliver direct resident care to assigned residents. Answers resident?s call light without delay. Assists assigned residents with care. Gives complete bed baths or assists with tub bath or shower. Dresses residents appropriately and changed as needed to keep clean and dry. Gives oral hygiene at least twice daily. Shampoos hair at least weekly. Changes bed linen on bed after completion of bath. Changes linen throughout the shift if they become wet or soiled. Sets up residents for meals. Assists or feeds residents if necessary. Cleans up after meals. Weigh residents before breakfast if daily weights are required (and monthly as indicated). Assist resident with bowel and bladder habits, reports results to assigned nurse. Other care as requested by residents.
Requirements of the positions:
Must be 18 years or older. Must be enrolled in facility class or a state approved CNA program. Must maintain attendance as outlined in NAT description. Must successfully complete course and pass final exam within 120 days of employment. High School diploma or GED. Must have excellent attendance history and work references. Demonstrates good interpersonal relationship skills. Must desire to care for the elderly and chronically ill. Must be capable of following oral/written instructions and write simple records. Must understand and comply with confidentiality. Must be able to lift 75 lbs with proper body mechanics. Must not be on the EDL. Must have a clear criminal back ground check.
