Mayo Clinic Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health Team (BERT) Job in Rochester, Minnesota

Responsibilities: Responsible for the daily coordination of behavioral health interventions within the ED and throughout the RST campus.
This position is an integral part of the Mayo Clinic Behavioral Health Care Team services designed to continuously improve outcomes and processes for the care of patients with acute psychiatric illnesses.
The BERT RN also works collaboratively with others to assure prompt follow up of any issues.
Fulfills all Registered Nurse Job Description requirements when working in this role and as an RN member of the BERT.
Qualifications: Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN) accredited associate’s degree or diploma program.
If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is also required.
Rochester campus: All entry-level associate degree registered nurses with a RN start date after September 1, 2010, must provide documented evidence of program completion of their baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program within 6 years from the last day of the month of their RN start date; all entry-level associate degree registered nurses with a RN start date of September 1, 2014 and after must provide documented evidence of program completion of the baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program within 5 years from the last day of the month of the RN start date.
Clinical nursing experience of two or more years within psychiatry or inpatient clinical experience of three or more years at Mayo Clinic Rochester. Current certification with the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
Additional Qualifications: Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relations with individuals and diverse groups.
Demonstrated excellent communication skills with interdisciplinary team members; communicates effectively both orally and in writing.
Able to both give and accept feedback.
Demonstrated leadership, problem solving and organizational skills.
Experience in presentation preparation and delivery.
High level of emotional intelligence.
License or Certification: Must obtain prior to start date:
Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
Arizona and Florida: Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
Midwest: Basic Cardiac Life Support for healthcare providers- BCLS – certificate of course completion required and must not expire within 3 months after start date.
A scanned copy of the certificate of completion or transcripts, including your full name, must be attached to your profile to be considered.

•American Heart Association (Title: BLS for Healthcare Providers or BLS Provider)
•Red Cross (Title: CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers or BLS for Healthcare Providers)
•Military Training Network
Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
The minimum pay rate is $32.72 per hour.
Hours/Pay Period: 72 hours per 2 week pay period
Schedule Details: Sunday – Saturday; Day/Nights, 12-hour shifts – NOT NEGOTIABLE
Weekend Schedule: Every third weekend – NOT NEGOTIABLE
