UNC Health Care RN CLINICAL NURSE II - WAKEBROOK CRISIS AND ASSESSMENT in Raleigh, North Carolina
*Schedule: 7am - 7 pm - with flexibility *
Crisis and Assessment Services (CAS) is a mental health clinic that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We triage and assess patients of all ages who are in crisis. Patients may remain in CAS for hours or days, depending on resources available in the community.
The Clinical Nurse conducts patient assessments, administers medications, and monitors patients with substance use disorders, mental illnesses or intellectual / developmental disability and are in crisis. Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team. Must be a team player and motivated to learn. Psychiatric experience preferred, BSN preferred.
Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. One (1) year of nursing experience.
