Nurse Practitioner Cardiac Services Full Time Days
Utilize the nursing process based on an expanded knowledge base of pathophysiology and pharmacology to provide comprehensive health assessment, diagnosis and treatment of individuals with potential or actual Cardiac health needs. Clinical decisions are formulated in consultation and collaboration with attending physicians. The Cardiac Acute Nurse Practitioner is additionally involved in education, consultation, performance improvement and research.
The Medical Center of Planois a full-service, 427-bed acute-care facility with more than 1,300 employees and over 1000 physicians on staff, representing over 70 specialties and subspecialties. Our main campus in the heart of Plano includes the main hospital and medical offices, an outpatient surgery center, a comprehensive cancer-treatment center, an emergency and Level 2 trauma center, a radiology/imaging center, a comprehensive cardiovascular program, the Center for Lifestyle Enhancement, The Bariatric Institute, Wound Care Center and complete women's and children's services including a high-risk antepartum unit and a Level 3 neonatal intensive-care unit.
Master’s Degree is required Current Registered Nurse and Advanced Nurse Practitioner Licensed to practice in the State of Texas Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner is highly preferred. CPR & ACLS required. 2 years of Hospital based inpatient Cardiac NP experience is required.
