When you choose to grow your career with us, you will also be receiving an all-encompassing benefit package that meets a variety of needs for any nurse: FREE Medical Insurance during introductory period for FT Licensed Nurses and all non-union positions $20K RETENTION BONUS UP TO $20K STUDENT LOAN FORGIVENESS BONUS-PAID OUT IN $200/MONTH INCREMENTS STARTING THE FIRST MONTH YOU BEGIN WORKING Educational Assistance-UP TO $2,500/yr Free Life Insurance Relocation Assistance 401(k) and Premium Paid Time Off Plan Referral Bonuses LOCATION: NEW BRIGHTON, MN FACILITY: NEW BRIGHTON HEALTH AND REHABILITATION CENTER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides nursing functions: Makes frequent rounds to monitor resident/patient conditions and to ensure nursing personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with nursing standards Gives/receives the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours Responsible for resident/patient care during respective shift Provides required patient assessments and interventions Reviews care plans daily to ensure that appropriate care is being given Take and record blood pressure and vital signs, administer catheter care as required, provide respiratory care and nebulizer treatments, assist the physician in therapeutic measures as needed, and prepares and administers medication as directed by the physician Keeps physician informed of resident/patient conditions Charts nurses notes in and informative and descriptive manner reflecting the care provided and the resident's/patient's response to that care Follows all center licensed nursing staff policies Attends regularly conducted staff meetings as scheduled by DON/ADON Handles on-call responsibilities as required Minimum Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Possesses a current license to practice in the State as an RN. Experience: One year of experience preferred. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to manage and supervise nursing staff. Ability to make independent decisions. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Meets all health requirements, as required by law. Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
