Responsibilities Req ID: 28448 The Director of Nursing Research has primary management responsibility for planning, directing, facilitating, implementing and evaluating the nursing evidence-based research program at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. The basic function of this position is to assume responsibility for overseeing nursing research activities including initiating and promoting nursing research, supporting nurses conducting research, and translation of research into practice. The Director contributes to evidence-based practice including the design and implementation of policies, procedures and protocols to optimize the quality of care for patients and families Education Minimum Doctoral Degree in Nursing or a related field with strong emphasis in research. If Doctorate in related field, a BSN is required, MSN preferred. Qualification/Skills Minimum 10 years clinical experience in nursing Previous experience in evidence-based practice, quality improvement, translational research and conduction and dissemination of nursing research Current licensure in the State of Minnesota.
