Job Description


The Registered Nurse, Endoscopy provides direct nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.


  • Conducts pre-procedural assessments by means of reviewing available medical records, examination, interview and observation.

  • Develops and implements patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

  • Carries out physician and nursing orders, including assisting with performing procedures as appropriate.

  • Maintains and troubleshoots all endoscopes and related equipment.


Licenses & Certifications :

  • Required Credential(s):

  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • One or more of the following:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

  • American Red Cross Professional CPR/AED Rescuer

Education & Experience :

  • Associate Degree

  • Minimum Requirement: Associate degree of Nursing from an accreditied Nursing program or Associate's degree of Nursing from an non accreditied Nursing progam with 2 years experience

  • Bachelor's Level Degree

  • Preferred Requirement: Bachelor's degree of Nursing from an accreditied Nursing program or Bachelor's degree of Nursing from an non accreditied Nursing progam with 2 years experience.
