Mercy Hospice is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for our hospice office in Des Moines, IA. The position is 24 hours/week.
Mercy Hospice offers comfort, dignity, and quality care to individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses. We are dedicated to each patient’s loved ones and family and strive to create a sense of community and comfort through compassionate care that extends to their spiritual needs, bereavement counseling, and ongoing grief support.
Provide face-to-face assessment services to hospice patients to assist the Hospice Medical Director and Hospice Team to determine each patient’s continuing eligibility for the hospice program.
May provide service in various settings, including the patient’s home, a physician’s office, the impatient hospice facility, etc.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Currently licensed to practice in Iowa, with Masters in Nursing.
One year of nursing experience required.
One year of hospital nursing experience preferred.
Must obtain and maintain current CPR Certification.
