Job Description

NURSE PRACTICE MANAGER, MIT Medical, to oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the adult primary care and urgent care services, in collaboration with the associate chief nurse and service chiefs. Will supervise and mentor the nursing and support staff; act as the clinical resource to the clerical staff; provide direct nursing care/counseling visits to patients for triage, task management, delivery of direct interventions, etc.; respond to patient telephone inquiries, assessing and triaging them as needed; review and relay normal test results to patients; and review provider tasks and act upon them as appropriate.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: licensure as a registered nurse in Massachusetts; basic life support (BLS) certification; BSN (master’s in nursing preferred); at least three years of nursing experience in an internal medicine, urgent care, and primary care environment, preferably in an ambulatory setting; at least three years of experience in a managerial role; demonstrated managerial, organizational, leadership, and oral and written communication skills; and the ability to mentor and direct others.
