Description: We are looking for a Forensic LPN to join our team supporting the Cobb County Detention Center. The LPN functions under the direction of the Manager, Director of Nursing and Registered Nurses at the Cobb County Detention Center. The LPN recognizes patient's needs and symptoms in advance. Provides care for the patient under the physician's or registered nurses direction. Includes preparing patients for exams, assisting during treatments, coordination of tests and follow-up care and recording treatment in medical record. Helps with patient/family education. Demonstrates competency and skills to serve patients of all adult ages including adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. Performs other duties as necessary. Required Minimum Education:

• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Practical Nursing

• Current licensure as a licensed practical nurse in the State of Georgia.

Required Minimum Experience : Six (6) months medical/surgical nursing practice in an acute care environment preferred.

Required Minimum Skills : Ability to read, write and speak the English language; Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; Ability to collaborate with other health care providers in the provision of patient care; Ability to delegate to other team members as required; Ability to multi-task essential; Ability to function in stressful and emergency situations essential; Strong detail orientation required; Computer skills required; Personal time management skills are required; Compliance with the American Nurses' Association Code of Ethics for Professional Nurses is required; Demonstrates knowledge of and practices within parameters outlined in Georgia Practical Nurses Practice Act
